Explain this to me

About Mike

Hello, I am an atheist because of reason and personal experience. I am a father of THREE lovely living kids and two dead embryos, married to a lovely Christian Catholic devoted woman. Yes, black and white can coexist as long as there is respect and love, which is something abstracted from any belief or religion. I do not claim absolute truth and not 100% sure that a God does not exist somewhere out there. The scientific method is what I use to connect to reality. If there is something I don't understand, then it is because i don't understand, not because god exists. In case you haven't noticed, I am a native Arab, and English is my third language (yes there is second language). I like reading the Bible and the Quran and the critics of both of them. I also love watching documentaries especially astronomy, cosmology, Quantum Physics, and new discoveries in science in general, and Physics in particular.

  1. First explain how DNA could come from nothing.

    • Mike says:

It didn’t come from nothing, it came from something, by means of Evolution

      • Evolution set itself in motion though, right?

      • Mike says:

There is no one behind Evolution. There is no God. Get over it

      • Everything came from nothing without anything starting the process from nothing ?

      • Mike says:

Everything came from something not from nothing! Everything was highly concentrated in a highly dense and elevated temperature point!

      • So where did the something come from? I really want to know.

      • Mike says:

        Eternal! E T E R N A L

      • Oh yah! You mean just Like God is eternal, and always existed!

      • Mike says:

No, I mean that the universe is eternal and always existed. God doesn’t because he/she/it is mythical

      • We have no empirical proof of an eternal universe. You have no empirical proof the universe is eternal. We all have scientific evidence of an Intelligent Creator. DNA. You have no explanation for the undeniable intelligence observable in DNA. Evolution is time plus matter plus chance and order and intelligence cannot come from chance and chaos.

      • Mike says:

Look who is searching for empirical proof now! Neither you have any empirical proof of your god. Complexity doesn’t mean intelligence is involved. DNA has tons of flaws, in fact, DNA errors is the one to blame for the down syndrome, and hundreds of genetic diseases and malfunctions. If your god the omnipotent and intelligent designed this, then he is the most stupid designer. If I had the powers you claim about your god, I’d remove these replication errors, but your god either can’t, or he deliberately want it so. In both cases, he is either incapable or he is evil. Your comments are exactly what you expect from a person who never understood what Evolution is, yet he fights against it. Use your own words to explain Evolution please

      • Do you honestly believe that happened and somehow a few billion years later the two of us are having an intellectual debate? If evolution where true we would eventually become gods. But that would just prove MY point. Not yours.

      • Mike says:

We wouldn’t become gods. Gods are man made. Yes, 4.5 billion years of cosmic Evolution can lead to two people like us discussing. You just don’t understand Evolution yet you go against it and want to debunk it! First understand what it is, then try to debunk it.

      • I do. Evolution is a THEORY. And by far the least plausible reason for you and I to be able to reason with each other.

      • Mike says:

If you do understand Evolution theory, then using your own words, can you please explain it to me?

      • Time plus matter plus chance = you and me having an Intelligent conversation. Nada

      • Or was that hydrogen plus a billion or so years? I really wsnt to know if you really have a scientific answer or you just don’t want there to be a God?

      • Mike says:

God does not exist. You claim there is one, you prove him. Until then, it is no better that Mickey Mouse

      • Should a guy named Mike be using “Mickey Mouse”?
