Why do you reject Evolution?

If I tell you that I support the concept of The balanced adaptation and standardizations of Quantum chromodynamics, will you agree and support it like me, or reject it?

Tree of life (very simple and symbolic)

Well, the first thing that comes to the mind of a healthy reasoning human, if you really had no idea about it, is: Dafuq is dat? and maybe do some research. Anyone else agreeing or disagreeing with me is an idiot, because there is no such concept. I made up this word salad from a website called Corporate Bullshit Generator which you might find useful to enrich your curriculum with, hoping that the future employer you are trying to fool never heard of this website

Now that I got your attention…
There are lots of misunderstandings when it comes to The Theory of Evolution. You may or may not know about this, but I am going to write down what Evolution is in simple idiot-proof words. I am not going to explain evolution rather than what it is and what it isn’t

1. Evolution doesn’t mean random
2. Evolution doesn’t mean “enhance”
3. Evolution doesn’t explain how inanimate chemical matter turned into life (or abiogenesis)
4. Evolution doesn’t mean that a creature can turn into another creature in the lifetime of that creature
5. Evolution doesn’t explain the creation
6. Evolution doesn’t explain the origin of the world/universe
7. Evolution has nothing to do with Morality
8. Evolution has nothing to do with religion
9. Evolution has nothing to do with Atheism, communism, racism, or any ideology

Evolution simply means gradual and slow change over huge amounts of time that your brain cannot imagine. It tries to link the observations and analysis, and radio dating, of fossils and remnants of once-living beings, based on their shapes, DNA (if found), structure, habitat, excrements, geographical location etc., which leads to the conclusion that most probably, all life on earth, came from a common and more simpler form of life.

Here some people, like Ken Ham and the banana guy (Hint: R. Comfort), and Muslims like Zakir Naik, would pop up and demand a proof and expect to see a transitional phase where you’d see, say, a half wolf half dog!

To make thing easier for the illiterate:
Take a hoola hoop, a tire, a circle, and try to let your finger follow its internal curvature. You don’t need to be a scientist, you are simply doing a circular motion right? Now assume that you have started this motion counterclockwise from the bottom of the circle. At the moment of the start of the motion, the direction of motion was in the right horizontal direction. After a quarter of a circle, you will find your finger facing the vertical direction coming from below right? Here comes the interesting part: Now try to imagine that crossing this quarter of a circle took you millions of years, and your whole life time is nothing but a very tiny slice of time, a glimpse in this journey. Would anybody of the people where you stopped ever believe that you started walking right in the horizontal direction, now that you are pointing to the upper direction in your everyday life and those of people you know about? Most probably no!

Let us take another example, an easier one, if the first one was hard for you to grasp.

Take yourself from your own childhood. Let us say that you realized your existence since you were 6 years old, and since then, you have been looking in the mirror each and every day in the morning and taking one single photo. What you would notice is that you are the same guy who looked in the mirror yesterday, and would be the same guy tomorrow, last month and next month. If you repeat this all your life, you will not notice any difference on a daily basis, nor maybe monthly basis, yet the 6 year old person you looked like when you took your first photograph, by the age of 20 is completely different, and would be different when you are 50 and would be different again at the age of 80. You have completely changed in the various slices of your lifetime, yet it is still you! Why is it easy for you to accept that this being (you), at the age of 6, 20, 50, and 80, which clearly differ from each other radically in the photos, is still you? Aren’t these phases all different? At the age of 6, you were chubby and cuddling, at 20 you had a dark beard, hair, and great muscles, 50 you had white hair and a noticeable belly, 80 you are bald, thin, and hardly can walk, yet you don’t have any issue admitting it is you!

This is the crux of the Theory of Evolution, and trying to find a transitional creature is a futile enterprise because there is no transitional step. There is really no missing link. Each step produces a highly similar being to the one before and the one after it. It would be almost impossible to find any differences between successive steps. But give it millions of years, and it will definitely surprise you.

So for those searching for the crocoduck, or crocofuck, give it up idiots! No creature will give birth to a different creature, cats would still give birth to cats, dogs to dogs, and idiots to idiots.

The thing that pushes scientists to accept Evolution isn’t religious, or just because a smart badass accepts it, but evidence! The DNA code we share with chimpanzees is almost 98.7%, we differ with them by only 1.3% yet this little percentage is what makes this huge difference. We didn’t come from modern apes, there were no apes as we know them today! Also, we have less common DNA code with horses, and much less with trees, yet still, all the living things share some common code, which all indicate we had common ancestors but different evolutionary paths

This post is dedicated to my religitard friends.

The question that summarizes the post in few words is: If you don’t know anything about Evolution, then why the fuck do you oppose it?

About Mike

Hello, I am an atheist because of reason and personal experience. I am a father of THREE lovely living kids and two dead embryos, married to a lovely Christian Catholic devoted woman. Yes, black and white can coexist as long as there is respect and love, which is something abstracted from any belief or religion. I do not claim absolute truth and not 100% sure that a God does not exist somewhere out there. The scientific method is what I use to connect to reality. If there is something I don't understand, then it is because i don't understand, not because god exists. In case you haven't noticed, I am a native Arab, and English is my third language (yes there is second language). I like reading the Bible and the Quran and the critics of both of them. I also love watching documentaries especially astronomy, cosmology, Quantum Physics, and new discoveries in science in general, and Physics in particular.

Perfect. And that word generator is going to come in handy

Ha ha, I know. There are others. Just try to search using Saint Google and type “bullshit generator” and have fun!

All religious excuses come from such generators and word salads

    I need a bullshit generator.
    Sometimes idiots overcome their idiocy.
