Islamic failure series – Episode 27 – According to Quran, there was something eternal other than Allah before creation

Muslims always brag about a very cryptic verse in Quran saying that the Big Bang was mentioned in Quran, thus it is not only a religious book but also a scientific book, and the only true religion from Allah, otherwise how could an illiterate man like Muhammad know about the Big Bang 1400 years ago? And of course they would cite this verse http://quran.com/21/30

(Al-Anbiya 21:30, Arabic – Original)

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? (Al-Anbiya 21:30, English – Sahih International)

First to all, “We separated them“? What them? There was no “them” according to BB theory, so you can’t use this unscientific crap to prove your book to be true from a theory that doesn’t even fit to your description!

But even if my understanding of the above verse was wrong, the following verses are just another confirmation of the idiocy of Quran and it’s naive creation myth!

http://quran.com/11/7

(Hud 11:7, Arabic – Original*)

And it is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days – and His Throne had been upon water – that He might test you as to which of you is best in deed. But if you say, “Indeed, you are resurrected after death,” those who disbelieve will surely say, “This is not but obvious magic.”
(Hud 11:7, English – Sahih International)

According to this verse, Allah had his throne (aka something materialistic, but let us forget about this because we don’t know what Allah’s throne is made of), it clearly says that Allah’s throne had beed upon water! First, this is just a copy and paste from previous religions (Christianity and Judaism), second (and this is what makes Quran a total failure), if Allah is the creator of all there is, then how come his throne was on waters before creation? This means that matter was there before Allah created the universe, thus matter, or at least water, is eternal, which is scientifically incorrect according to the Big Bang theory!

About Mike

Hello, I am an atheist because of reason and personal experience. I am a father of THREE lovely living kids and two dead embryos, married to a lovely Christian Catholic devoted woman. Yes, black and white can coexist as long as there is respect and love, which is something abstracted from any belief or religion. I do not claim absolute truth and not 100% sure that a God does not exist somewhere out there. The scientific method is what I use to connect to reality. If there is something I don't understand, then it is because i don't understand, not because god exists. In case you haven't noticed, I am a native Arab, and English is my third language (yes there is second language). I like reading the Bible and the Quran and the critics of both of them. I also love watching documentaries especially astronomy, cosmology, Quantum Physics, and new discoveries in science in general, and Physics in particular.
