Islamic failure series – Episode 17 – Embryology from Quran

Islamic failure series – Episode 17 – Embryology from Quran
Another Quranic failure of what Muslims believe to be a scientific miracle from the Quran! In an attempt to explain how the human embryo develops in the womb, Quran tries in a very naive way to describe it, obviously with the words of Muhammad who knew about the subject close to what Jesus knew about atomic physics (i.e. nothing). What do you expect from people 1400 ago to come up with?Let us see what Quran says:

And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay
Seriously? Clay? Let us watch this video entitled Atoms of clay
and here is another university website discussing clay, which I quote:Most clays are crystalline with a definite repeating arrangement of atoms. they are made up of layers of oxygen atoms bonded together by silicon or aluminum. The basic building blocks of clay minerals are shown below. Composed of layers each of which consists of 1 silica and 1 alumina sheet

So according to Quran, our bodies were created from a material that doesn’t even contain the most important atom in it which our bodies are built on, namely Carbon! Epic fail! I would have been impressed, had Quran mentioned the Carbon atom, but all it did was repeating the idiotic Abrahamic idiocy!

Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging
Firm ha? How many abortions do hospitals witness because in many cases it is not “firm”?
Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators
I am laughing at this idiocy just by reading it. So Quran talks about the stages of the embryo by saying the stages from sperm, then clot, then lump, then bones and then covered the bones with flesh? Are you kidding me? Did I hear a brain fart? You make the skeleton then you cover it with flesh?

Quoting again
And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay
Who the hell is we? Does Allah have partners? Muslims can sometimes kill people for being MUSHRIK (polytheists), while in the text of Quran itself, the speaker himself, Allah, says we? Isn’t Islam based on one single delusion called Allah? Who is the we if Allah is supposed to be the one talking? There is a “we” thing in Arabic, a form of respect, but that doesn’t make sense when it comes to Allah, who is he trying to respect? Who are the “we”? Instead of giving people a sharp clear book, Allah tends to insert words that could be misinterpreted, why? Wasn’t he aware of this?

About Mike

Hello, I am an atheist because of reason and personal experience. I am a father of THREE lovely living kids and two dead embryos, married to a lovely Christian Catholic devoted woman. Yes, black and white can coexist as long as there is respect and love, which is something abstracted from any belief or religion. I do not claim absolute truth and not 100% sure that a God does not exist somewhere out there. The scientific method is what I use to connect to reality. If there is something I don't understand, then it is because i don't understand, not because god exists. In case you haven't noticed, I am a native Arab, and English is my third language (yes there is second language). I like reading the Bible and the Quran and the critics of both of them. I also love watching documentaries especially astronomy, cosmology, Quantum Physics, and new discoveries in science in general, and Physics in particular.
