Islamic failure series – Episode 13 – Scientific miracles from the Quran

This is the literal translation of the below video (with my comments in bold) of a Sheikh called ZAGHLOUL EL NAGGAR, a person that Muslims call a “scientist”. The Wikipedia page claims he is a Geologist, Chairman, Committee of Scientific Notions in the Glorious Qur’an. Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, Cairo, Egypt, and he has a prime time series on various Arabic TVs channels, including this channel called Al Rahma (The Mercy). I personally prefer to call this guy EL FASHAR rather than EL NAGGAR, as EL FASHAR means “he who says loads of bullshit”.

Let us not comment a lot before we read the literal translation of the video: GET SET… READY?… Go!

I have attended a conference more than a year ago, on Cardiology, in Dammam city in Saudi Arabia, and it was a big international conference, held by the Saudi Cardiology Association, and all doctors agreed that the heart is nothing but a muscle that pumps bad blood (he said in Arabic DAMM FAASID. DAMM means blood, while FAASID means corrupt, spoiled, bad, just search the word he is referring to yourself on Google or your dictionary of your choice, but let us not concentrate on this issue and move on)… so, the heart is nothing but a muscle that pumps bad blood to the lungs to get oxidized and to purify it and pump it back again to the rest of the body parts, especially the brain, that part of the body that if blood pumping was delayed for a fraction of a second, then it (the brain) dies.

I can’t proceed without adding my own comment, and say that this guy must have had some blood pumping delays to his brain as this load of bullshit can come out only from a stupid mind. I would appreciate the comments of a Cardiologist here

Continue… So I told them that Quran says that the heart has other functions other than being just a pumping muscle. And of course, a discussion raised, because doctors want only the empirical proof, so I advised them to conduct a research, at least Muslim doctors, to do more research on the hearts of deceased people so as to prove to us if the heart has other functions or not.

I was surprised after years months later (he first says years, then corrects himself by saying months) by a series of books that says that the heart is the memory center, that the heart is the center of feelings, sensations, emotions, talents.

The interviewer exclaims by saying: “Wow, incredible words”

Then he continues… And they call it (using English words): “The remembering heart”. And another writer wrote another book called “The Heart Code”, a third writer wrote a book called “The inner heart”, the heart inside the heart that Quran calls “Al Fu’aad”, and I read many amazing words. Scientists noticed that any human being subject to a heart surgery loses part of his memory, thus scientists realized that the heart is the center of memory!

Then the interviewer exclaims again, like a dumb ignorant by saying: Allahu Akbar == Allah is the greatest! An exclamation used by Muslims when they see or hear wondering stuff!

So Al FASHAR (or the bullshit generator) continues saying: Scientists realized that any human that gets a heart transplant, gets the deceased person’s talents, emotions, feelings, and his abilities that he originally didn’t possess (and again the interviewer like a dumb idiot repeats Allahu Akbar).

Scientists say that they have transplanted a poet’s heart to truck driver who never said any poetry or ever thought of saying poems, and this truck driver started writing poems! (Again, Allahu Akbar!). And they took the heart of a famous musician to a person who never played any musical instrument, and this man started playing music! They also transplanted the heart of a person who was killed, and the person who got the new heart started seeing in his dreams the person who killed him (him refers to the original owner of the heart), so he called the police and they could catch him. (interviewer giggling Allahu Akbar). Words that really shake the heart! And for this I say that Quran possesses the most scientific discoveries in the world. Then he cites some verses from Quran. So the heart is an extremely important organ in the human body that far exceeds the importance of the brain. Scientific studies proved that the magnetic field (yes, you read it correctly, the MAGNETIC FIELD) of the heart exceeds the magnetic field of the brain by two thousand times, and the electric field of the heart exceeds the electric field of the brain by two hundred times (this is a clear violation of the electromagnetism). The heart contains nerve cells, like the memory cells, much more than the brain itself, and the heart sends the brain commands more than it receives from it. And this is documented! This is a proof that Quran cannot be man-made, but can only be the words of the creator, that was dictated to his last prophet and protected by Allah’s words, using the same language of his revelation, the Arabic language, to preserve intact for more than 1400 years, so that Quran can remain a testimony for all the creatures

About Mike

Hello, I am an atheist because of reason and personal experience. I am a father of THREE lovely living kids and two dead embryos, married to a lovely Christian Catholic devoted woman. Yes, black and white can coexist as long as there is respect and love, which is something abstracted from any belief or religion. I do not claim absolute truth and not 100% sure that a God does not exist somewhere out there. The scientific method is what I use to connect to reality. If there is something I don't understand, then it is because i don't understand, not because god exists. In case you haven't noticed, I am a native Arab, and English is my third language (yes there is second language). I like reading the Bible and the Quran and the critics of both of them. I also love watching documentaries especially astronomy, cosmology, Quantum Physics, and new discoveries in science in general, and Physics in particular.
