Yep, I cannot help it not quoting Christopher Hitchens infamous phrase: “Religion poisons everything”
I just hit this video on YouTube where a young mother working in the field got death sentence because she “said” something. Just try to look into the eyes of her girls and tell me that you could stare at them for one single second without cursing God! Don’t be a brick and tell me it is humans who misinterpret the laws of God or their religion, as if you do understand what God wants huh? What a relief you were born on the right side don’t you think? The others got it wrong, but hey hey, you got it right! Unfortunately, all of the other bricks like you just think of it this way!

About Mike
Hello,
I am an atheist who lost his faith to reason and personal experience. I am a father of two lovely kids, married to a lovely Christian Catholic devoted woman. Yes, black and white can coexist as long as there is respect and love, which is something abstracted from any belief or religion.
I do not claim absolute truth and not 100% sure that a God does not exist somewhere out there, in fact, I am still searching for evidence, trying to understand the world around me.
Atheism does not mean being bad, awful, non loving, dangerous, wicked, and all these negative descriptions people tag atheists with. Take me as an example, I love my kids and wife, I hate hurting people either physically or verbally, I treat humans equally and do not distinguish between race, color, religion, skin, or ethnicity.
I love reading the Bible and critics of the Bible. I also love watching documentaries especially astronomy, cosmology and new discoveries in physics which is my BSc degree.
Hi, Mike.
I have a Catholic mother who still tells me things like “talk to your Guardian Angel. He’s right there in the room with you.” It’s been a confusing life …
I JUST came out of my Catholic coma and started a new blog … it’s more of a humorous series that I’m starting … going all the way back to the Ancient Times to trace those stubborn beliefs.
Hope you can check it out!!
I have several episodes written but have only posted one so far. You can be my first viewer :)

Welcome to the real world brother. Also my mom is a devoted Catholic, as well as my beloved wife.
I want to ask you a question though. Can you please comment on how do you feel now that you have removed the religion weight from your chest? Are you happier? How do you see the world? Do you feel more or less wicked/bad/relief?
Here’s a beautiful example of how I am better off …
I had written a thoughtful response, and then I accidentally hit something on my ipad which made me lose it.
The old me, the one who lived in a perpetual stated of cognitive distortion, would have thought “God didn’t want me to write that comment”.
Belief in any god or any temporal “back up plan” shapes how we perceive our existence.
Since I’ve made the decision to be a non-believer, I’ve begun feeling far more connected with nature. I look in my dog’s eyes and think “wow. We really aren’t that different.”
I’m still dealing with a lot of scar tissue and growing pains, but life seems far more mysterious and interesting when I acknowledge what an emergency it is. No afterlife to bank on …
And, I don’t think the existence of god is something in which it is in our personal and collective best interest to be undecided on. While we may not “know” in the definite sense, it’s something that I think we need to make a confident assumption about.
I myself am agnostic, though definitely anti-religious (mainly against religion as a concept, rather than against all religions). I’ve a funny feeling religion won’t just poison everything. Who knows? There might be a time when religion could kill populations.
